Spc. Yancey Christopher of Haw River N.C. entertains Iraqis Saturday afternoon while taking a break from the 130-degree heat and his mission of overseeing the cleaning of backed up sewage lines in Baghdad Iraq. The lines in the poorest neighborhoods in the city have been clogged for years. Christopher and his seven-man civil affairs direct support team are working in the Rusafa district in the heart of Baghdad. They have been working closely with the sewage, water and trash collection departments of the district to try to reestablish basic services to the more than 350,000 people who live there. Christopher is a member of the 422 Civil Affairs Army Reserves Battalion from Greensboro. The battalion was deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom last January.
